Mac pacifies her by reminding her of the connection the two have while also assuring her that he wants to be with her no matter what the outcome of it may be. In “ Planet God D*** ”, Mac is dealing with this girl doubting him and their relationship. Mac also states the struggles they run into both separately, and coherently. From start to finish, Mac speaks on his lover and the strength of their connection. Miller then vividly depicts what exactly it is that he wants to do to pleasure the girl both emotionally, and sexually.
Once Mac establishes how important this girl and their bond is to him, the album takes a drastic turn. Miller doesn’t feel complete without her. In the first verse of this song, Miller speaks on how much he loves the girl, and how he doesn’t feel like he deserves her because he finds her to be utterly divine.Īfter this track, Miller continues on with tracks, “ Dang!” and “ Stay, ” where Miller is pleading the girl to stay in his life. Miller speaks on the history they had, and the future that he wishes to have with her. Mac opens the album with the song, “ Congratulations ” which mentions the love he has for a special girl. The Divine Feminine is an album that is mainly about love, sex, and the association between the two. Within the first week of sales Miller sold 48,000 copies, 32,000 being hard copies. In September, the album released and did extremely well, becoming #2 on the Billboard 200.
